Prayer Movement

Each great revival, each movement of God that has stirred the hearts of humankind towards him, has prayer as a central feature. The great evangelical revivalist Charles Finney (1792-1875) stated it this way,

There are two kinds of means requisite to promote a revival: the one to influence men, the other to influence God. The truth is employed to influence men, and prayer to move God.

A good friend and early mentor of mine in the mission field made this comment:

Prayer is our divinely provided means to persuade God to do those very things which He seeks to do.

These are powerful words, exceptional thoughts on prayer. We at Kairos have determined that 2013 will be our year of prayer. We believe that God wishes another revival, another movement of people in our country, towards him.

So we have recommitted ourselves to organize a national movement of prayer among our fellowship. We're asking you and every church we visit this year to join this prayer movement. Let's raise up a mighty wave of prayer over the people of our land, asking God to move their hearts to him.
